How To: My Everyday Makeup Look

How To: My Everyday Makeup Look

Hey guys! So I did go Black Friday shopping and sadly, the deals weren't that great as I had hoped but I did get some of my Christmas shopping done as well as a couple things for myself. So lets get into the tutorial!

Supplies:
CoverGirl Clean Foundation
Rimmel CoverStick Concealer
CoverGirl Clean Pressed Powder
L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara
e.l.f Eyebrow Kit
e.l.f Big Fluffy Face Brush
e.l.f Concealer Brush
Stila Stippling Brush

Steps:
~1~
Take the Rimmel coverstick and swipe it over any blemishes or problem spots on your face.
I usually blend them with my ring finger because its weaker than your index so its not as irritating for your face. Blend in a circular motion.

~2~
Dot the CoverGirl clean foundation on your face all over. I usually do three on my forehead (one in the middle and two on either side), a stripe down my nose, two dots on the sides of my face (temples),  three on each cheek and one on my chin. Then I take my stippling brush and start blending my forehead first in a circular motion. I then go on to blending my cheeks, temples, nose, and chin. After that, I pat my face with my hands. The heat help it sink in and set, and it also pats out any spots that the brush missed.

~3~
Take the Eyebrow kit and locate the gel-ish part on the left side of the kit. I then take the concealer brush (and yes, not using it for its intended purpose but it works well) and dip it into the gel, making sure it coats the tip of the brush. Then I bring it up to my eyebrow and using short stokes fill in my eyebrows dipping the brush in several times to make sure they look even and filled out.

~4~
I then sweep the L'Oreal Miss Manga mascara on my lashes and take the CoverGirl Clean Powder and the the e.l.f Big Fluffy Face Brush and sweep it on my face to set my foundation.

Overall Time: 5-10 minutes.

Hope this helped!

How to: Successful Black Friday Shopping!

How to: Successful Black Friday Shopping!

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a while! I've made a promise to you and myself to post a couple times a week to keep the flow going! This is going to get packed with holiday DIYs, crafts, gift guides, look books and helpful articles to get you the holiday mode of planning, shopping and having fun!

                                                                                    ~Step 1~
Know what you are going to buy. For instance I'm going to the mall and I'm going to buy some items from Bath and Body Works, Forever 21, and Charming Charlie for my friends. I'm hitting up Toy Shops for my little cousins, and my little brother. For family members, I might go into some cooking/ home ware shops for cute mugs and cookie mixes.

~Step 2~
Hit up online coupon sites, carry the "inserts" from the newspaper in your purse for easy to find deals from your favorite stores. Also download some helpful coupon apps on your phone for easy savings.

~Step 3~
Pack your bag. You want a roomy bag but not to big so that your falling over from weight. I'm bringing my white leather quilted  gold chain link cross body bag. Put in a little bottle of water, your wallet, eye drops (you'll need it if your going out very early in the morning), your wallet,  coupons, your charged phone and some little individual face wipes for a burst of freshness and awake-ness.

~Step 4~
Wear something very comfortable! I like to wear some black leggings, moccasins and a comfy oversized t-shirt (or sweatshirt if it's super cold where you live). Put on some bb cream and white eye shadow in the inner corners of your eyes (it will make you look more awake). Leave your hair either up in a messy bun, pony tail or down. You want to look cute but comfortable

~Step 5~
Stuff yourself on Thanksgiving dinner. Since you might be spending a lot of money, and you might not want to wait in line at a fast food place, eat a lot of food so your set to go for the shopping trip. Bring your own coffee in a travel coffee mug and when your done, just rinse it out in the bathroom and put it in one of your probably many shopping bags.

~Step 6~
Stay focused and organized! Have fun and don't waste a lot of your money!

I might be vlogging my Black Friday adventure since it's my first time going early in the morning with my mom!

Happy Shopping!

Fashion Passion: Grunge

Fashion Passion: Grunge

Flannels, Vans, Dark colors, Arctic Monkeys and dyed hair are just some of the few characteristics of the 'grunge' style. To achieve a day of grunge I have cracked the code to three outfit and makeup ideas.

Outfit 1

Oversized flannel (red preferred, I like to borrow my dad's or mom's)
Black leggings
Black Vans
A t-shirt that goes with another main color of the flannel

Makeup 1
I like to go with beachy waves and a braided tie back (braid two little pieces of hair in the front and tie them together at the back of your head.
For makeup I like a smoky eye, and nude lips (I'll do a tutorial on the smoky eye)

Outfit 2
Oversized t-shirt (I like a grey crewneck)
Super high waisted jeans or shorts (If wearing shorts, wear black tights underneath)
Black Vans
**Optional** a long beaded necklace

Makeup 2
Straight hair, red hair chalk
Nude smoky eye (replace dark eyeshadow with browns)

Outfit 3
Wine colored skater shirt (or dark color other than black)
Short sleeved black crop top (bellybutton length)
Black tights
Black Vans or Combat boots

Makeup 2
Curly hair with dark purple hair chalk
Smoky eye, red lips

Party Outfit Ideas!

Party Outfit Ideas!

Sorry I haven't blogged, I have been super busy with homework! This weekend I am going to a party. It's sort of casual but not too dressy, you get me? :D So to get into Party Mode I decided to blog about different party outfit ideas! If I have time tomorrow before the party I will blog a Party Makeup and Hair post! Let's get into it!

Casual
For a casual look, I would probably choose black leggings, a nice over sized sweater with leather boots and a nice accessory (like a big gold watch). It's casual, comfy and cute all in one!

Dressy
So for this look I decided that a nice basic dress would be perfect. I snagged my white skater dress from H&M and spiced it up. I put on a big gold statement necklace with matching earrings and brought a nice cardigan in case it got chilly I think I brought a dark red one from Hollister. For shoes I wore white tom-like shoes with gold trimming. They're dressy-ish

Black Tie
I absolutely love Black Tie parties. I usually go with a dark colored dress, depending on the occasion you can wear a floor length or any length, I wear a matching scarf sort of draped around my shoulders when wearing a floor length or for a shorter length I wear a nice classy statement necklace
and bring a nice sweater.

This is it for the article! Sorry it's short I have to do an big essay for my Journalism class. TTYL

Makeup Tutorial: The Natural Makeup Look!

The Natural Makeup Look

If you want to switch up your makeup look or just want a fresh face this article will teach you how to get the Natural Makeup Look.

                                        Face:
Start with a nice mousse foundation like the one in the Maybelline line. Wash your hands and apply the foundation with your fingers. Apply a pressed powder only to skin discolorations, pimple, dark circles with a makeup sponge.Apply a pinkish/brown blush with your fingers for a fresh, non-cakey look.  If you a more detailed approach go back and look at the "Fake Flawless Skin" makeup tutorial that I posted recently for tips. :)

Eyes:
Apply a nice eyelid primer to make your eyeshadow and eyeliner last all day. Apply a champange colored eyeshadow  for the base color. Use your fingers when applying it. Take the Rimmel ScandelEyes eyeshadow pencil in Bulletproof and apply to your crease, blend in with your fingers so it's not as harsh. Curl your eyelashes and apply brown mascara.

Eyebrows:
Just fill'em in :)

Lips:
Apply a nude lipstick and finish off with clear lip gloss

This was very quick and not as detailed as I wanted it to be because I'm super busy with homework!!
Should I post a picture tutorial? Comment!

Makeup Tutorial: Fake Flawless Skin!

Makeup Tutorial: Fake Flawless Skin (On a Budget!)

                                                               Supplies:

Foundation Brush (e.l.f Foundation Brush $1)
Foundation to match your skin tone (Covergirl Natural Foundation $7)
Tinted Moisturizer (e.l.f Tinted Moisturizer $3)
Pressed Powder (Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder $4)
Makeup Sponges (Beauty Tools 3Pack $5)
Concealer Stick (Rimmel Spot the Blemish Concealer Stick $4)

Prep:
Wash your hands (We don't want your dirty hands applying makeup)
Clean your work area (Wipe down Vanity and clean mirror)
Clean Brushes and Sponges
Put long hair in a pony tail and put on a headband to slide  back baby hairs or bangs

Steps:
1. With clean hands, apply the Tinted Moisturizer by putting a pea sized amount on the tip of your middle finger, then rub in with other finger tips then start from your nose and blend out to your cheeks. Keep on putting a pea sized amount and apply all over your face with your fingers.

2. Wash your hands, and get your foundation and foundation brush ready. Apply a pea sized amount on your index finger, and apply from your nose in streaks (lines) and blend in a circular motion with your foundation brush. When applied evenly, pat with your hands. The warmth makes the foundation sink in and last longer. Wash your hands when done.

3. Using your concealer stick pick out the zits that you want to cover and apply a large circle around it (Quarter size) and blend in towards the zit with your ring finger. Blend the outer edges in with the foundation.

4. Using the makeup sponges, rub it in the pressed powder compact and apply to the areas (pat don't rub the powder on) that need a little extra coverage (dark spots, pimples, dark circles) and in areas that tend to get oily throughout the day.

Tips:
Don't forget to apply it below your jaw line, you don't want a foundation line.
Also blend in with your ears.
Take the compact and sponge with you wherever you are going for the day

How To: Get Ride of Acne!

How To: Get Rid of Acne

1. Find out the prominent places where you break out. Is it your forehead, your chin, your nose, underneath your eyes or is it all over the place?
2. Is the cleanser you have working, or is your acne still there? If your acne is still there, try something with more Benzoyl Peroxide or something that will powerfully clear breakouts.
3. Sometimes, over washing can cause your glands to overproduce oil, which means it traps all the makeup, dirt and grime from several days and draws it into your pores. Oil is like a magnet! Try washing once or twice a day, for instance use a gentle cleanser in the morning to exfoliate your skin, and a powerful one in the nighttime. Try getting the same brand of cleanser so your not mixing products.
4. Dab some Toothpaste on the pimples and leave for 10-15 minutes. Pop a pimple and wet a Q-tip with alcohol and scrub it all over the pimple. Or for instant redness reducing, rub and ice cube around your face for invisible pores and reduced redness.

Helpful Tips for not Getting Pimples:

~Stay away from oily or sugary foods and beverages. Don'tsive completely cut it out, just cut it down.
~Drink plenty of water to flush toxins out of your body and to hydrate your skin. Gatorade helps too!
~Don't layer makeup on top of it. I know it's hard to go to school with an inflamed zit, but just one layer of concealer will do. Not layers of foundation, concealer and powder.
~ Exercise, the sweat will flush any unwanted toxins out, just remember to drink lots of water and wash your face afterwards.
